Maboneng means “place of light” in seSotho. Born on the eastern edge of Johannesburg’s CBD, this precinct is an open-air gallery of studios, rooftops, restaurants and more than 50 large-scale murals. Maboneng Art holds that energy in print, object, image and experience.
